Wishbone Woodworking's NEW SHOP!!! Pt. III

Ahhhhhh....Shop Sweet Shop. We are still not totally done with the set up and organization of everything, but as time goes on, I can't ever imagine being all the way done with set up. We have started a few new jobs and are getting situated into the space, and for now it is perfect. I love it, and couldn't ask for a better shop.




All the ducting throughout the space is for a central dust collection system that drops to each tool to collect the dust that it produces. This was a royal pain to install, and it's still not done, but for now, it's perfect.

We get great natural light in the shop, but no direct sun, so it is usually cooler inside than outside. There is no A/C so it's defiantly quite warm throughout the summer. We have a couple of fans, but the heat can get a little extreme.


Clamp Pile!!! We still need to make a storage system that gets these off the ground, but the clamps are always one of my favorite things about wood shops. Hopefully some day this pile will be triple what it is today.

Here we go!


This is the best worker in the shop...MARTIN!!! It so wonderful to use such nice machinery.


This is our plywood lumber rack, the dust collector room and also there's an air compressor in there.


This is the office and also the stairs to the office being clamped up.


Sill need to get a little better organized in the office, but I think that it will be a nice place to work.


We did a lot of demo and reconstruction of the space. There was pipes and wires that had stopped being used years before we moved in. A lot of time was spent leveling out the floors and clearing the ceiling of junk.

This is our planner. It's a beast! It weighs 2750 lbs and as we struggled to get it into place the concrete of the floor gave way. We have since patched the hole, but what an ordeal.

This is as we first moved in, and Max is laying out the office and storage underneath.

This is our new shop! 61 Greenpoint Ave, Brooklyn NY 11222. It doesn't look like much yet, but I'll post some more pictures in the coming weeks to show our progress.
